Questions & Answers
What kinds of questions do you ask yourself? Do you trust the answers? Asking questions of ourselves requires that we be able to recognize our own voice for the answers. You might be ready for your Dynamic Pause if any of this is very familiar to you. It’s kind of a strange phenomena.
When we ask ourselves questions we recognize our voice quite well, but when the answers come we often lack confidence and are unsure of where those answers came from. In my experience and observation the uncertainty comes for a couple of reasons. One being the sheer number of voices speaking into our lives these days. Voices of friends, family, social media, marketing efforts, political rhetoric, etc. There is a lot being thrown around out there. The other is from the apparent lack of trust we seem to have in ourselves. It’s like the hesitancy doubles down when we are certain the voice is indeed ours. There is a conditioning that takes place and it’s derived from many sources. Fundamentally, it’s less important to know why we have the distrust and more important to recognize there is often a gap here. It’s in this space, the gap, that we either gravitate to connect with someone else’s perspective or we freeze up entirely and shut down. If we examine the gap and what choices we have in that moment we can step into an valuable opportunity of revelation and breakthrough.
